If you are pregnant, your body produces the pregnancy hormone HCG. The level of HCG in your body rises during the early stages of pregnancy. The MERTZ PregiCheck saliva pregnancy test detects this hormone in your saliva.
The MERTZ PregiCheck saliva pregnancy test detects the pregnancy hormone HCG as early as one day after a missed period. Hormone levels continue to rise throughout pregnancy.
In laboratory tests using the MERTZ PregiCheck saliva pregnancy test and saliva samples from pregnant women taken one day after a missed period, over 95% of the results were positive.
A positive test result (pregnant) indicates that the pregnancy hormone (hCG) has been detected in your saliva. Make an appointment with your doctor to confirm the pregnancy (the test does not replace a medical diagnosis). If the test is positive but you believe you cannot be pregnant, make an appointment with your doctor.
Either you are not pregnant, or your HCG levels are still too low to be detected by the test, and you took the test too early. If your period does not start within the next couple of days, try again with a different test. You may have miscalculated the length of your cycle, or there may not have been enough HCG in your saliva. If you get another negative result from a different test but your period still hasn’t come, make an appointment with your doctor.
The result should be visible after 5–15 minutes. The control line (C) must be visible in the result window. This indicates that the test has been carried out correctly. If this is not the case, the test is invalid. This may be because not enough saliva has been collected or because you did not place the test unit horizontally after connecting the sampling stick to the analysis unit. Please try again using a new test kit. Follow the instructions for use.
The test result must be read within 5–15 minutes. After 15 minutes, the result is invalid.
Only medicines containing the pregnancy hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) will affect the result. Other hormone treatments, alcohol, painkillers, antibiotics or the contraceptive pill should not affect the test result.
